WELCOME HOME
We were approached with the simple request to provide multiple entertainments systems inside and out, secure surveillance system and state of the art home network. This is how we did it.
THE CHALLENGE
In order to build a cohesive and functional integrated home system, careful planning must be considered. All items must work with, and compliment the other smart home items in the home. The decerning home owners expect a high performance system, thats simple to use and customized to thier lifestyle.
THE process
Integration Arts first completed a structured wiring design in order to wire the home for all the required equipment plus extra wires for future provisioning. conduits to the attic and back yard were installed so the clients had flexibilty if they wanted to expand the system down the road.

The house was then wired and documentation completed. Since this was a net zero home, careful consideration was taken for all exterior openings and penetrations points as to not distrurb the sealed membrane of the home.
trim out
After the prewire is complete and drywall, flooring, paint and other finishings are done, then Integartion Arts returned for trim out.
This is the stage where all the finish plating is completed, speakers are installed in the ceilings and theatre and other 'dirty' work is completed before final finishing stage.

The wires that were rouged-in during the prewire are neatly separated and placed into the equipment rack, ready to be connected to all the equipment.
install
This project called for a whole home music system. Since the client had an existing Sonos system that they were very happy with Integration Arts proposed a new and upgraded Sonos system that was deployed in the new home.

The covered porch was identified as a place where the family liked to gather and entertain. A Sunbrite all-weather 65" outdoor TV was specified along with high quality in-ceiling speakers to bring the media room experience to the outdoors.

Large format Samsung QLED's were installed on the basement rec room tiled fireplace, great room and the theatre.

Surveillance cameras were placed strategically around the home for an added piece of mind with event based storage that keeps footage on hand for months at a time.
Theatre
The home theatre was desinged from the ground up for excellent value-based performance. A 9.2.2 Bowers and Wilkins Dolby Atmos system was installed surrounding the listener with 11 speakers of surround sound and two thundering subwoofers to round out the bottom end.

An 85" Large format QLED was chosen based on the clients desire for excellent video performance and love of high brightness content.
The Elan universal remote control provides the user with single touch control of the theatre system along with adjusting the theatre lighting and even controlling other aspects of the rest of the integrated smart home system.

network
Wifi is a critical element in today's modern home, and this home was no exception. The clients both have home offices in the house and would like to be able to work anywhere on the property.

Wireless access point locations were carefully chosen at the design phase so they could be hardwired to locations that provide great WIFI coverage while remaining hidden. Since the wireless access points are hardwired, they have the fastest WIFI speeds possible anywhere inside or outside the home. Cat6a cabling was used so the home is ready for the future when much faster networking speeds are required.

The result is a home network that is stable, fast and secure.
control
Elan control systems was chosen to combine all the various sub systems into one cohesive integrated system.
Music, security, surveillance, lighting, shading and HVAC control were all programed to work in a single - easy to use - interface.
The system can be controlled from a universal remote in theatre, from the 8" touch panel in the kitchen or from the mobile app on any client device. This powerfull system allows everything to blend seamlessly together to function as a true integrated smart home.
THE RESULT
The result is a simple but powerful control system for most of the mechanical and entertainment systems in the home.

The clients love the fact that they don't have multiple apps controlling multiple devices that they have to manage on a daily basis and the technology blends seamlessly with the elegance of the rest of the home.
